Pre-Production

Failing to prepare is preparing to fail.
— Benjamin Franklin

The pre-production process is exciting because we get to share ideas and explore all the possible ways to showcase your incredible efforts. As two artists working together, our combined talents and vision will enable us to create the most spectacular photographs possible.

During this phase, I’ll ask you to share your ideas for photographs. Your insight and engagement will help me learn all the wonderful things you’ve done, why they’re special, and how you want people to respond to them.
As the designer, your work has a story to tell … one that I want to capture and convey in the photographs. We'll chat, and I'll listen closely, so that we can make it happen through styling, scheduling, and a shot list. The end result will reflect our shared vision and tell a unique story that is exclusive to your work.

Pre-Production Consultation
Included in Flat Fee and Photography Packages

Whether you choose a package or the flat fee option, I’ll ask you to fill out a project questionnaire and send me snapshots before we talk over the phone.

I created my questionnaire to aid you in gathering information that will help us plan our 30-minute consultation conversation. You can complete this at your leisure, taking time to ensure we cover every important detail. You'll probably find the process helps you respond even more deeply to the things you hope to achieve by working with me.

Pre-Production Tour:
Recommended for Hourly Photographs - $220*

Extra special projects require a level of attention only achieved by working on an hourly basis.

I’ll ask you to fill out the same questionnaire, but then we’ll meet on-site so I can experience your design firsthand. We’ll spend about an hour exploring the possibilities for presenting your ideas and styling the spaces together.

After we tour your project, I’ll provide you with a detailed write-up of my creative impressions and recommendations for shots, scheduling, and styling.

Once you've had a chance to review my recommendations, we'll speak over the phone once more to finalize our plan and begin the process of creating the photographs we agree will best achieve your goals.
