How to guarantee failure +Tricks of the Tade

It's very frustrating when a prospective client hides information I need to quote a job. Twice in as many weeks I've had someone call asking for a quote, when I start asking questions about what they need and want and what will be involved in doing their photos they clam up. I'm not sure why the perception that revealing crucial information would be to their disadvantage, especially since I don't negotiate from an adversarial position.

I do know one thing for sure-and the most recent $26K proposal to a hotel proves it-the best way to guarantee you won't get what you want is to not tell me what you need.
