Having a well defined vision of a project is crucial to showcasing the value of my clients creative vision, and their expertise.
I work closely with my clients during pre-production to develop a unique vision for each project. My client Ankrom Moisan Architects asked me to focus on the mixed-use nature of this design.
This was the best view to show the populated public spaces in an image that highlighted the critical design elements of structure, ornamentation and the designer’s use of color and materials to differentiate the retail spaces from the residential tower.
I create an air of authenticity in my images by applying the "form follows function" design theory when developing a narrative to guide me in building my compositions. My narrative for this project was “Tuesday afternoon.”
I treated the people and cars as styling elements and positioned them to direct the eye into and around the image ensuring the residential tower remained the focus of the composition. That is how I crafted this delightful image of the architecture while telling the story of the mixed-use design.
Other images of this project are posted under recent works on my website.
