I loved the simplicity of the design of this space and I wanted to capture that impression. I saw that it was a rather traditional design concept with modern updates, so I tried to create a textbook down-home feel by spacing the styling elements to create separate work spaces for each appliance.
The sunlight streaming in through the skylight above camera right was important to the design because it was the major source of illumination. I used gradient filters and post-production compositing to control the light and capture the illumination of the ceiling fixture while ensuring we could see through the textured glass on the cabinet doors.
