There was so much energy integrated into this design my greatest challenge was keeping it under control. We had to show the study desk and computer stations because they were critical to the communication of the function of the space. I positioned the camera to place the study desk in the foreground to stabilize the image else the carpet would "run away" with the viewers perceptions and creating a confusing and disjointed composition where the only memorable element would be the loud carpeting.

The scale of the library required shooting this space with available light. I wanted to use the pattern of the carpet to enhance the flow of the composition. Communicating the design concept required showing the aquatic theme of the design, seen here in the pattern of the carpet as flowing water.
