I shot this image back in 2010. The idea was to shoot the entry of an SF Edwardian townhouse. It was a nice image but lacked balance and was in need of some punch. I realized the homeowners dog would be the perfect thing to make this OK image into something spectacular.

How did I do this? I set up the shot and recognized the problem, the solution was to use what I elements I had on hand to make it a great shot that pulled at the heart strings of the viewer and was remembered. The dog was what was available.

Making his ears prick up and take a surprised stance was built on the dogs personality and the circumstances. The photo is titled "Who You?"
