Conventional Photography vs High Dynamic Range Imaging

High Dynamic Range Imaging (HDRI) is the most exciting innovation I have seen since the advent of digital photography. I use this technique to create more natural images that showcase my clients showcase your creativity and communicate their design concepts with a degree of authenticity never before possible.

In the conventional photograph you see here I have applied all of my skills, talents and experience using traditional photographic techniques to capture the character and qualities of this space using available light. I would proudly place my name on this image and enter it in any photographic or design competition.

Please move your cursor over the photograph to see how much better a high dynamic range image of the same space can be.

Using the HDRI technique I capture a wealth of subtle details, colors and textures that allow me to communicate not only the physical appearance of the space but the emotional context of the design with greater finesse and fidelity to the designers vision than ever before.

High Dynamic Range Imaging is the digital extension of the multiple exposure technique I applied so effectively when shooting 4x5 transparency film for the first eighteen years of my career. Please call me to learn how this technique and my talents, skills and twenty-three years experience photographing architecture and interior design can help you.
